How we work

A clear process, no surprises.

Hiring a developer remotely should feel safe. Here’s exactly what happens between “hello” and “we’re live.”

  1. Discovery call

A free 15-minute call. We talk about your business, your goals, and what your site needs to do. No commitment.

  2. Fixed quote

I send a written proposal with the full price, scope, timeline, and what's included. No hourly billing, no surprises.

  3. Build with weekly previews

We start when 50% lands via Stripe or Wise. You get a working preview link every week — no waiting until the end to see anything.

  4. Launch + final 50%

We launch on your domain together. Final payment is due on launch day. You own everything: code, design, content.

About

A developer who treats your site like it’s their own.

MJAY is Mujeeb Ayinde Ishola, a web developer based in Nigeria, building for small businesses around the world. I started writing websites because I wanted to make things that other people actually used — not dashboards for engineers, but storefronts, booking pages, the kind of site a real customer lands on at 9pm on a phone.

Most agency sites are built to impress other agencies. I build sites that help small businesses get the next call, the next booking, the next customer. That means quiet design, fast pages, plain language, and one obvious thing to do on every screen.

What you get working with me: direct communication, honest timelines, code you actually own, and a site you can update yourself. No retainers, no lock-in, no surprise invoices.

Tools I work with

  • Next.js
  • React
  • TypeScript
  • Tailwind CSS
  • PHP
  • Python
  • Sanity CMS
  • Vercel

Questions

The things people usually ask.

How do I pay you?

Stripe (card) or Wise (bank transfer). Both work for clients in the US, UK, Canada, and Australia. Invoice in your local currency. 50% on start, 50% on launch — no retainers.

Do you provide hosting?

Your site deploys to Vercel, which has a free tier that comfortably covers most small business sites. I'll set up your domain and walk you through how it works. You own the account.

What if I don't like what you build?

Every project includes two rounds of revisions. You see weekly previews, so we catch direction issues early — long before launch. If we're not aligned after revisions, I refund the second half and you keep what's been built so far.

What's NOT included?

Logo design, copywriting from scratch, ongoing marketing, and SEO content. I'll happily recommend people for any of these. I focus on building the site itself.

What happens after launch?

Your CMS lets you update text and images yourself. For code changes — new pages, new features — I bill hourly or scope a small follow-up. No mandatory monthly fees, ever.
